Laguens Kully Klose rocks the web at the Pollies

Laguens Kully Klose added six more Pollies to its shelf last night, winning five awards for our online video content and strategy and yet another award for our television advertising.  These wins bring our Pollie total into the thirties, including previous first-place wins for Senate (Jon Tester and Ben Cardin), Congress (Dennis Moore), and Independent Expenditures (the League of Conservation Voters).

Last night's award-winning videos can be viewed by clicking here. QuickTime is required to view the videos.

LKK was the most-recognized Democratic media firm in the online categories at last night's American Association of Political Consultants ceremony.

Leading the charge was "Vern's Office" - a series of web ads for EMILY's List which won awards in both the "best use of humor" and "best internet/technology" campaign categories.

Our work for the Planned Parenthood Action Fund was also recognized twice: "Pause," a television ad focused on John McCain's inability to articulate an opinion on insurance companies covering prescription birth control, in the "best negative/contrast" in the Presidential category; and Planned Parenthood's iteration of MoveOn.org's "Bush-McCain challenge" won a silver for "best use of e-mail/viral marketing".

Under "Best Use of User-Generated Content to Raise Funds," LKK picked up an award for Darcy Burner's online townhall on the Iraq War.  The online video that we facilitated of bloggers speaking out on Darcy's behalf was front-paged on almost every major Democratic blog, and helped the event raise more than $130,000 in 72 hours.

And one of our installments in the "Cures Chronicles" series for the Missouri Coalition for Lifesaving Cures - telling the story of real Missourians counting on the cures that embryonic stem-cell research can provide - was recognized in the public affairs category.

We thank all of our clients for the opportunities they give us to do creative, award-winning work and their belief in the power of new media technologies to change the world.
